Unique problem of the electrode shape of the NGK DCPR7EA-9 premature spark

A very unique problem of the NGK DCPR7EA-9 spark plug which manufactured locally. Because of the shape of the negative electrode curve it causes premature sparks before it reaches near the tips of the positive electrode. Should the negative electrode curve more rounder like the one made in Japan this problem should not arise

Why car vibrate / shake when braking while on gear Drive or Reverse automatic transmission

One unique problem that yet to be solved - the perodua alza car vibrate or shake when braking while on gear Drive or Reverse. It has never happened before it was sent to perodua service center to replace the water pump and serpentine belt (drive belt). There is also feeling like knocking whenever on every turns of the drive belt. Potential cause need to investigate 1. Water pump - loose or pulley misalignment 2. Tensioner Pulley - loose or faulty bearing 3. Spark plug - one of the spark plug not doing its job at optimum conditions. 4. Weak fuel pressure 5. Clogged fuel filter and fuel injectors

Humming noise and urging after water pump and serpentine belt replace at the service center

After water pump and serpentine belt (drive belt) replace at the Perodua service center - Alza develop humming noise and having the urge to move forward quite strong when pressing brake while on gear D or Reverse engaged.

Quite an intriguing problem that still linger in my mind - what could be the problem? Anyway, below are some initial thoughts potential root causes.

  • Serpentine belt (drive belt) slip - drive belt slipping could cause the urge as it skips and turn on every cycle of the rotation.
  • Defective pulleys such as water pump or belt tensioner.
  • Engine oil leaked on the serpentine belt to cause the belt to slip.
Already checked:

  • Crankshaft pulley - looking good as the timing mark still position correctly.
